Brunk Selected to Receive Junior Faculty Development Award

Congratulations to Elizabeth Brunk, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Jointly Appointed with the Department of of Pharmacology in the School of Medicine!  She has been selected to receive a Junior Faculty Development Award for the year 2023.   Each year, the Provost’s Office hosts a competition for $10,000 Junior Faculty Development Awards with funds provided by IBM and R.J. Reynolds Industries, Inc. Recipients are selected by the Committee on Faculty Research and Scholarly Leave.

This award will be used by Dr. Brunk to further her research and scholarly work between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023.

Dr. Brunk’s research focuses on developing computational methods that accelerate the clarity and utility of omics data in biomedical science. Her aim is understanding the link between genetic/molecular variation and phenotype, both in natural and engineered cellular systems.
