Current Research Focus
Andreas's research is focused on studying the reactivity of palladium-silyl cations and their application towards carbon-oxygen bond cleavage.
Andreas was born and raised in Southern California. He attended UNC-CH to earn his B.S. in Chemistry. After graduating, he worked as a chemist for Quaker Chemical Corporation in Pennsylvania. He began his graduate studies in 2014 at UNC-CH where he works for Dr. Michel Gagne. Outside of research, Andreas enjoys the outdoors, photography, spending time with friends, and being married to his lovely wife Becky.

Andreas chose UNC's Chemistry Ph.D. program because of the great research, the world-renowed faculty, and the welcoming environment.
What are your future plans?
After completing his graduate education, Andreas plans to work in industry and start a family.
