The Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce the recipients of our annual Departmental Fellowship awards. The fellowships are awarded to outstanding graduate students in recognition of their contributions to their respective research disciplines.
Fellowship Winners for 2022-2023:
Bost Fellowship: This fellowship supports graduate students of any year through a Ralph Walton Bost fellowship for one semester (tuition, fees, stipend, health insurance).
- Karen Ehrhardt, Warren Research Group
- Mitchell Maw, Sheiko Research Group
Burroughs Wellcome Fellowship: This fellowship supports a third-year doctoral student through a stipend that enables him/her to devote substantial time to organic chemistry research. The award includes two-semester fellowships (tuition, fees, stipend, health insurance).
- Roukaya El Mokadem, Nicewicz Research Group
- Jack Gruhin, Alexanian Research Group
Dobbins Fellowship (Open to any year): This one-semester fellowship supports students of strong character who show great promise in their pursuit of careers in chemistry (tuition, fees, stipend, health insurance)
- Julia Brom, Pielak Research Group
- Zachary Sitte, Lockett Research Group
Eliel Fellowship (Open to any year): This fellowship supports top graduate students of any year selected on the basis of scholastic merit. The fellowship awards two graduate students with a one-semester fellowship (tuition, fees, stipend, health insurance).
- Andrew King, Zhukhovitskiy Research Group
Hiskey Fellowship: This fellowship serves to attract and retain the best graduate students in the nation through one-semester fellowships that will be part of the Royster Society of Fellows program (tuition, fees, stipend, health insurance).
- Cole Sorensen, Leibfarth Research Group
Venable Award: This award recognizes outstanding rising 5th year students. The award includes two-semester fellowships (tuition, fees, stipend, health insurance) and $5k cash award.
