[Full Membership Eligibility Requirements]
1. Must have taken a minimum of fifteen (15) credit hours in chemistry classes. Transfer and by examination credits are acceptable.
2. Minimum chemistry GPA: 3.4.
3. Minimum overall GPA: 3.3.
4. Must be a Chemistry MAJOR or MINOR.
[Associate Membership Eligibility Requirements]
If you have yet to complete 15 credit hours of chemistry courses or otherwise do not meet the requirements for full membership, you may still join GSE by applying for associate membership. There are no requirements for this type of membership beyond an interest in the chemical sciences. Dues for associate membership are $5/semester (chapter dues). Once associate members complete the requirements for full membership, they may then reapply for full membership.
[The Official Process]
If you are interested in joining GSE, first fill out a chapter
application form (see above). Once your application has been
reviewed and it has been determined that you do indeed meet the
requirements for induction, you will receive a personal invitation
to join the Alpha Eta chapter of Gamma Sigma Epsilon with further
instructions on how to complete the induction process and pay the
$45 fee ($40 one-time national dues, $5/semester chapter dues).
